Gift cards are a powerful tool to build loyalty and trust, encouraging clients not only to visit your online store, but to return again and again.
How Gift Cards Work

Setting the Gift Card Balance:

As a practitioner, you can easily create a gift card and assign a custom balance to it.

The balance can be applied to either a single product or multiple products across your store.

Client Redemption Process:

When a client purchases or receives a gift card, the balance is linked directly to their account.

Clients can shop your store as usual, adding items to their cart.

At checkout, the gift card balance will automatically reduce the total amount in the cart.

Expiration Details:

Each gift card comes with an expiration date.

Clients must redeem their balance before the gift card expires to enjoy the full benefits.

Create Your First Gift Card
1. Visit your admin dashboard and go to Sales > Gift Cards. This is where you'll be able to track your gift cards once you've created them.
2. Click "Create a Gift Card" on the right hand side of the screen.
3. Assign a balance to the gift card in the Balance box (see below).
Keep in mind that any balance you provide will be taken out of your Stripe account balance at the time the gift card is redeemed by the client.
4. You can choose to make this gift card available for one time use only, or for multiple uses on the store.
- SINGLE = one-time use, and all balance is lost after the first purchase with the gift card
- MULTIPLE = allows the client to use the balance of their gift card over multiple orders
5. Set an expiration date for the gift card to expire. It will no longer be accessible after this date.
6. Select the patient for whom you would like to apply the gift card balance. It will automatically be applied to their account.

Important Notes

Gift card balances cannot be transferred between accounts.

Any unused balance will remain in the client's account until used or until the expiration date.

If a purchase total exceeds the gift card balance, clients can easily pay the difference with other payment methods.
